Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Visual Development Artist to join our team. As a Visual Development Artist, you will develop the look of characters, environments, and marketing assets. Working in collaboration with our dynamic team of artists and various departments, you will ensure that all assets adhere to project specifications while maintaining Dream Games’ high standards of quality and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Developing initial Visual Concepts and Ideas for Static or Animated marketing materials, including character designs, backgrounds, and overall visual style
  • Utilizing Digital painting and Matte painting techniques as required
  • Collaborating closely with the Creative Director and team to oversee outsourced production
  • Creating internal and external Visual guidelines and references
  • Producing internal still frames for key art in collaboration with 3D teams, including layout, asset gathering, and contributing illustrations or digital paintings as needed
  • Contributing to the development of user-oriented design culture

Requirements

  • +3 years of experience in animation or game development preferred
  • 3D software knowledge  is a plus
  • Proficiency in digital painting software, including Adobe Photoshop and Procreate
  • Understanding of Matte painting techniques
  • Strong Conceptualisation abilities
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong Conceptual and Digital painting skills, as well as a deep understanding of Visual Storytelling
  • Appreciation and understanding of teamwork
